James is a professor of history \u00a0at SUNY Plattsburg, and his written work includes the 2012 book, \u201cTales from a Revolution: Bacon\u2019s Rebellion and the Transformation of Early America.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><i>(Editor\u2019s note: due to a typographical error, we are re-running this note)<br \/>\n<\/i><b>Bill C. Berger<\/b> has been appointed to the Denver Fisher House Foundation board of directors. The foundation provides a \u201chome away from home\u201d for veterans and military families to be close to loved ones during hospitalization for illness, disease, or injury. She has three children, all of whom will be in college this year.<\/p>\n<h3><b style=\"line-height: 1.65;\">1987<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>Patty Spear Clark<\/b> is the president of the Second Wind Fund Inc., a Lakewood, Colo., nonprofit working to decrease the incidence of suicide in children and youth by removing the financial and social barriers to treatment. Since its inception in 2002, the SWF has provided free therapy to more than 3,000 children in Colorado. Patty enjoys her day job in the Special Liability Group of Travelers Insurance, where she is happy to work with <b>Tim Mills \u201987<\/b> and <b>Brett Carpenter \u201987<\/b>.<\/p>\n<h3><b>1988<\/b><b><\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>Todd Breyfogle<\/b> was featured in an article about the Aspen Institute in the July-August issue of <i>The University of Chicago Magazine<\/i>. Todd studied classics, history, and politics at CC, and his daughter, <b>Sarah Elisabeth Breyfogle \u201917<\/b> is a CC student. Todd is director of seminars at the Aspen Institute in Colorado.<\/p>\n<h3><b>1989<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>John Kantner<\/b> has been appointed vice president for research and dean of the graduate school at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla. As John has designed programs for research and graduate education, he\u2019s realizing how much he\u2019s been influenced by his CC anthropology degree.<\/p>\n<h3><b>1991<\/b><b><\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>David Thrower<\/b> is a municipal judge for the town of Superior, Colo. He is based<br \/>\nin Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n<h3><b>1994<\/b><b><\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>Meg Stoltzfus<\/b> has been recognized for designing a vending machine for breastfeeding mothers. The machine, believed to be the first of its kind, was installed in May at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. It is stocked with breast pump accessories, storage bottles, breast pads, and nipple cream, along with other supplies for nursing mothers.
