Film Festival.<\/p>\n<p>The film, \u201cMerchants of Doubt,\u201d directed by Robert Kenner (\u201cFood, Inc.\u201d) and inspired by the book by Naomi Oreskes and Erik Conway, explores science denial and shows how pundits-for-hire have helped sow doubt about man-made climate change.<\/p>\n<p>Nelson spent two years on the film, which also provided opportunities for CC students and recent graduates. Among them are <b>Ryan Loeffler \u201912,<\/b> who served as assistant editor and additional cameraman and continues to work fulltime at Robert Kenner Films; <b>Jon Harmon \u201912<\/b> and <b>Sarah Zinn \u201913<\/b>, who served as production assistants; <b>Daniel Wright \u201913<\/b> and <b>Melissa Rush \u201914<\/b>, summer interns; and <b>Ali Meyung \u201911, Laurel Hesse \u201913, Will Thomsen \u201913,<\/b> <b>Amy Rippe \u201914,<\/b> and <b>Michaela Kobsa-Mark \u201915, <\/b>who did transcription work.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A documentary co-produced by Assistant Professor of Film and New Media Studies Dylan Nelson, which also includes the work of numerous CC film students, premiered this summer at the prestigious Telluride (Colo.)
