Solar power in particular represents an excellent investment in our immediate and long-term energy goals, and our aim is to increase the amount of local renewable energy we generate accordingly.”

The EPA designates Green Power Partners as organizations that help reduce the risks associated with climate change by supporting technologies that are more sustainable for businesses and communities. As part of the program, at least 5 percent of CC’s energy use must come from renewable sources. Through the use of solar arrays across campus and the purchase of renewable energy credits to offset energy use, CC is able to use green power to reduce the environmental impact of its operations.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has selected CC as an EPA Green Power Partner, a program that aligns with CC’s goal of reducing carbon emissions.
