THE ORGANIZATION:
Exponential Impact (XI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the education, mentoring, and resourcing of entrepreneurs working with disruptive technologies such as Blockchain technology, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. Exponential Impact’s mission is to further catalyze, build, and support an entrepreneurial ecosystem in Colorado Springs by providing services that cater to the entire lifecycle of the entrepreneur—from seed stage to Series A and beyond.
HE OPPORTUNITY:
The primary role of this internship will be working directly with select startups in AI, Cybersecurity, and Blockchain technology fields as they progress through the Exponential Impact (XI) Accelerator Program. Interns will support the teams with all related projects and programs part of the XI curriculum. Whether it be coming up with funding proposals, industry research, practicing pitches, business development, or product development. The tasks will be wide-ranging in nature given the variety of stages those in the cohort are at in addition to the range of technologies and markets.
In addition to assisting the participating startups, aiding the development of XI will be another key task. Interns will receive a behind-the-scenes look in running and organizing a startup accelerator from the funding side all the way to managing daily tasks. Assisting with social media, managing subscribers, producing newsletters, and representing the XI brand are vital tasks as well. Support includes administrative duties, operations, 1-on-1 work with the individual startups, and overall execution of the program from June 12th up through Demo Day at the culmination of the 14-week accelerator program.
While the position reports to the Program Manager, there will be a large amount of crossover with the Executive Administrator and Executive in Residence. An XI Intern should be prepared to work with all members of the XI organization, gaining insights on all facets of the organization.
