#HIRED: Atiya Harvey ‘18

After graduation, Atiya is headed home to Washington D.C. to become a Resident Teacher for Urban Teachers. Through this program, she’ll earn a Master’s of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University and a certification in elementary and special education through Urban Teachers.

I’m excited to get the opportunity to go back to home and help teach and inspire our next generations, especially those in underserved elementary schools. I’m hoping to learn how to be the best teacher possible.

My advice for students looking for opportunities: As you continue your job search, know that having Colorado College on your resume truly means something, so use it to your advantage. Current students and alumni should definitely take advantage of the Career Center because they are here to help us get #hired.

Congratulations, Atiya!
