{"id":12091,"date":"2022-01-18T17:11:52","date_gmt":"2022-01-19T00:11:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.coloradocollege.edu\/careercenter\/?p=12091"},"modified":"2022-01-18T17:11:52","modified_gmt":"2022-01-19T00:11:52","slug":"wright-water-engineers-miller-internship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.coloradocollege.edu\/careercenter\/wright-water-engineers-miller-internship\/","title":{"rendered":"Wright Water Engineers &#8211; Miller Internship"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Wright Water Engineers &#8211; Miller Internship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are interested in providing a paid internship to expose a young person to the day-to-day work of water engineering along with an extracurricular research project, such as a paper, on a larger water policy issue.\u00a0 We would be looking with someone who is interested in western water issues, has good writing skills, spreadsheet skills, GIS skills (not mandatory, but helpful), and is a critical thinker.\u00a0 The area of work would be helping us produce expert reports for water rights adjudications, water supply planning, water efficiency plans, and drought contingency plans, reports for instream flow donations, water rights valuations, and water accounting.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our clients include the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, Southern Ute Tribe, Southwestern Water Conservancy District, Florida Water Conservancy District, Tri-County Water Conservancy District, the City of Ouray, Ouray County, the Nature Conservancy, canal and irrigation companies and extractive industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is an incredible opportunity created by two fellow CC alum.  Pete Foster &#8217;88 (economics) and Zach Miller &#8217;75 (political science).
