Island Design Assembly brings together a team of students, architects, and educators for eight intensive days to design, build, and install a project for an island community in Penobscot Bay, Maine. We think of it as architecture at its best–living\u00a0and working off-the-grid.<\/p>\n

IDA is run by McLeod Kredell Architects. Student participants may consider the experience a professional externship with the firm.\u00a0More information, images of past projects, and application forms are available at www.islanddesignassembly.org.\u00a0All logistics and costs between the mainland ferry launch on
\nthe first day and the mainland ferry landing on the last day are covered by the program fee of\u00a0$2,000.00.<\/p>\n

No experience with design or construction is necessary.\u00a0IDA Session 1 (June) is open to students from all colleges and universities, in any degree program or major.\u00a0Application Deadline: March 15, 2017<\/p>\n
