The Colorado Center on Law and Policy<\/a> is hosting an event on October 6th, 2017 in Denver. CC students are invited to attend for a discounted fee of $40. Registration ends September 29, 2017.<\/p>\n

<\/strong>CC students are invited to meet the movers and shakers of public policy in Colorado and see if it is a space in which they could see themselves making an impact.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The keynote speaker of the event is\u00a0Professor Ian Haney Lopez, author of Dog Whistle Politics: How Coded Racial Appeals have Reinvented Racism and Wrecked the Middle Class<\/a>.\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

Current sociology, political science, and REMS majors may find this speech of particular interest, as will students interested in jobs in public policy.<\/p>\n

In the past, the Colorado Center on Law and Policy has hired yearlong PIFP fellows<\/a>, and will be seeking future CC hires in 2018. This event is a good way for potential applicants – and those interested in public policy – to interact with members of the policy community in Denver.<\/p>\n

Since there are many CC alumni in the nonprofit world in Denver, friendly, non-threatening network opportunities abound!<\/p>\n
