We’ve been called “lazy, entitled narcissists<\/a>.” The “Me, Me, Me generation.” And the most tech-savvy generation thus far. And now,\u00a0as older generations\u00a0move toward retirement<\/a>, we’re being seen as the future of global industry.<\/p>\n

Occupations like travel agents, agricultural workers, mail carriers, switchboard operators and more are just some of the identified “dying jobs” in recent history.\u00a0As old industries die and new ones emerge, employers and millennials look for middle ground.<\/p>\n

The millennial approach to a career is unique.\u00a0According to PwC’s report on\u00a0Millennials reshaping the workplace<\/a>, we value things like\u00a0work-life balance<\/a>\u00a0and career development more than financial compensation.<\/p>\n

The writer points toward “Booming Global Industries” that are “particularly in demand”: \u00a0Software and the Internet,\u00a0<\/strong>Careers in Math,\u00a0<\/strong>Analysis and Big Data<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
