We will study the work of such modern masters as Annie Dillard, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Annie Proulx, Edward Abbey, Jon Krakauer, David Quammen, Elizabeth Kolbert, David Grann, Sebastian Junger, Hampton Sides, Susan Orlean, William Finnegan, Cheryl Strayed, Jim Harrison, Mary Roach, Thomas McGuane, Tim Cahill, and Barry Lopez.
