\"\"After graduating, Austin will head to the University of Notre Dame<\/a> in in South Bend, Indiana to pursue a Master\u2019s of Science in Global Health.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am excited to learn how to address health problems endemic to the global poor. I am excited to make connections between classroom training in global health topics and the real health needs of resource-poor populations around the world through the hands-on experience of the program\u2019s capstone project. I am most excited about the potential to apply this global health knowledge to the practice of medicine either within the borders of the United States or abroad. <\/em><\/p>\n

My advice for students thinking about grad school: Put yourself out there and don\u2019t be afraid to get rejected. Open up plenty of doors for yourself, and always have a backup plan. <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
