Our\u00a0Research Analysts (RAs)<\/strong>\u00a0are involved in diverse, challenging assignments within a stimulating, collegial work environment. You will work side by side with internationally recognized experts in financial economics, corporate finance, energy, competition, and regulatory economics. You will have an opportunity to support our principals and academic advisors as they serve as expert witnesses before courts and arbitration panels on behalf of some of the largest and most successful law firms and corporations worldwide in addition to numerous public and government agencies in the United States, Europe, and elsewhere.<\/p>\n

As a new RA you will participate in project teams with senior consulting staff.\u00a0 The RA\u2019s role includes: analysis, modeling, and research functions on client projects.\u00a0 Major focus areas for new research analysts can be financial and operational modeling, industry analyses, and literature review.<\/p>\n

Typical assignments might include<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Analyzing companies and markets<\/em>
\n\u2022\u00a0Building financial, economic, and operational models<\/em>
\n\u2022\u00a0Conducting statistical analysis, running regressions, and estimating cost of capital<\/em>
\n\u2022\u00a0Providing in-depth research, summarizing documents, and communicating with project team members at all levels<\/em>
\n\u2022\u00a0Adapting economic theory to apply to real life questions and problems<\/em><\/p>\n

Across your tenure as an RA you will gain skills in applied economics, finance, and accounting as well as an understanding of aspects of business law.\u00a0 You\u2019ll work in a cooperative and fun atmosphere that melds dedication to project success and individual professional development. You\u2019ll have the opportunity to discover where your interests lie and how you can best apply your skills.<\/p>\n

By the end of the first year, typically you will have learned to conduct basic research, build spreadsheets and models, present research findings in a clear and consistent manner and have gained experience and aptitude with data management software beyond Excel.<\/p>\n

What We\u2019re Looking for \u2013 Ideal Candidates Will Possess<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0An undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline\u00a0<\/strong>(e.g. economics, math, finance, engineering, etc.) with strong academic performance (a minimum GPA of 3.5)
\n\u2022\u00a0Great team skills\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 our project work is done almost exclusively on teams and it is critical that Research Analysts work well with others.\u00a0 A good sense of humor is always welcome!
\n\u2022\u00a0Intellectual curiosity and quickness\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 we are not just looking for students who do well in coursework, but for those who consistently want to learn\/know more and who approach problems with creativity
\n\u2022\u00a0A high degree of ownership and commitment\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 successful Research Analysts are committed to doing what it takes to get things right and take “ownership”\u00a0of their work<\/p>\n

How Our Recruiting Process Works<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

We are seeing Research Analysts to work in our\u00a0Boston, MA; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA and Washington, DC offices. We expect the majority of RAs to start working across the summer following graduation.<\/p>\n
