Selected students participate as interns appointed at one of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/science.energy.gov\/wdts\/suli\/how-to-apply\/selecting-a-host-doe-laboratory\/\">17 participating\u00a0DOE laboratories\/facilities<\/a>. They perform research, under the guidance of laboratory staff scientists or engineers, on projects supporting\u00a0the DOE mission.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Appointments are for 16 weeks during the Fall term, are open to US Citizens and US Lawful Permanent Residents, include a weekly stipend, reimbursement for one round trip domestic travel to the participant\u2019s host DOE laboratory, and possibilities for a housing allowance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interested?
