We had such an outpouring of interest in the book that we decided we should reach out to the Feminist and Gender Studies <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coloradocollege.edu\/academics\/dept\/feministandgenderstudies\/\">program<\/a> at CC and ask for suggestions for other acquisitions. A lively discussion ensued about the books that had brought us to feminism, and Special Collections ended up purchasing several first and\/or interesting editions of:<\/p>\n<p>Doris Lessing, <em>The Golden Notebook<\/em><br \/>\nToni Morrison, <em>The Bluest Eye<\/em><br \/>\nSylvia Plath, <em>Ariel<\/em><br \/>\nJohn Berger, <em>Ways of Seeing<\/em><br \/>\nLouisa May Alcott, <em>Her Life, Letters, and Journals<\/em><br \/>\nCarol Gilligan, <em>In a Different Voice<\/em> (Robert Bly\u2019s copy with his annotations)<br \/>\nSimone de Beauvoir, <em>The Second Sex<\/em><br \/>\nMargaret Atwood, <em>The Handmaid\u2019s Tale<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re always happy to talk with faculty about acquiring books they&#8217;ll use with their classes.
