The Digital Liberal Arts (DLA) exploration at Colorado College and this website were founded through a grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to expand faculty-student collaboration in the Humanities and Humanistic Social Sciences. Over the past seven years, several working teams of faculty, staff, and student researchers have undertaken projects in the digital liberal arts. In addition, several Colorado College faculty and staff have developed pedagogical initiatives that have expanded the use of digital tools in the classroom, including courses based in the digital liberal arts.<\/p>\n

Currently, DLA at CC is supported by an ever-growing collaborative of faculty, staff, and students who work to incorporate digital tools into research, teaching, and learning. Central to this collaborative is the Digital Liberal Arts Working Group, which consists of faculty, staff, and students, and meets once a block to discuss ongoing digital projects and to further the DLA initiative at Colorado College. <\/p>\n

Dr. Jane Murphy<\/h2>\n

Associate Professor | History<\/h4>\n

Jane Murphy is Associate Professor of History at Colorado College. Her research and teaching is primarily focused on Middle Eastern history from the rise of Islam to the present and topics in the history of European and Islamic science. Professor Murphy is currently building a relational database that explores scholarly relations in the 18th century Islamic world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Jennifer Golightly is the Academic Application Specialist on the ITS Educational Solutions team. She has over twenty years of teaching and course development experience in higher education. She is also a scholar of 18th century literature (1660-1814), including fiction, drama, poetry; feminist and gender studies; cultural historicism; and cultural history.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
