Students Test Twice Weekly
As
shared with campus Thursday morning, CC is currently experiencing an increase in COVID-19 cases on campus. In response to our current data, we will temporarily adjust our COVID-19 protocols:
- All students must participate in twice weekly screening testing until further notice. Doing so will allow us to break chains of infection and continue to be together in person. Students who have received a positive test result in the past 30 days need not test.
- Students who have symptoms should not come to class and should seek testing at the Student Health Center. No co-pay is needed. Employees should contact their healthcare provider to determine what tests and treatment are appropriate.
- Professors may require masks during class times. This provides another layer of protection against classroom transmission during the current rise in cases.
- All may choose to wear a mask at any time, for any reason, and will be supported in their choices. Please keep in mind that there are many reasons why someone might not be able to or want to wear a mask. People should not be asked to share their personal medical history or justify their choices.
Thank you, CC!
The COVID Policy and Implementation Committee thanks students, faculty, and staff for the resilience, flexibility, and support of one another throughout the pandemic and especially during this most recent uptick. More than 500 students have had to enter isolation since January 1 and the support and care showed to them – delivering tests, helping with food – has made a difference. Faculty and staff have volunteered to check on students in isolation daily. It’s inspiring to see the CC community come together and take care of one another. Thanks for all you are doing!
Air Filter Building Session Today
COVID-19 is airborne, and filters can remove it from the air that we breathe. The COVID-19 Policy and Implementation Committee and the Scientific Advisory Group are hosting an
air filter building session in the old bookstore location in the basement of Worner Campus Center
today, March 7, 2-5 p.m. Drop by for as long as you have time — no prior knowledge required — to build 100
Corsi-Rosenthal box filters to be used in classrooms and gathering spaces. As a thank you, you will receive a $5 gift card to Ladyfingers Letterpress (FAC gift shop).
Professors may fill in this
form to request an air filter for their classroom.
