Screening Testing Resumes After Spring Break
Screening testing is not required during Spring Break; this includes students who are staying on campus during the break. Students will test following the break on Sunday/Monday and Thursday the first week of Block 7. Testing and protocols will be adjusted as needed.

What to Do If You Have COVID Symptoms During Spring Break

The Optum team can help with testing and treatment through Sunday, March 27; the SHC resumes normal hours Monday, March 28, at 8 a.m. Employees should contact their healthcare provider and their supervisor. The Counseling Center has limited hours during Spring Break: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Check the Updated CC COVID Data Dashboard
The CC COVID-19 dashboard shows all known CC student cases. It provides quick access to COVID-19 metrics on campus, including daily and weekly COVID-19 testing numbers and positive test results. For questions regarding this dashboard, please contact Ben Moffitt in the Office of Institutional Planning and Effectiveness.
Masks remain an important tool for mitigation, and we encourage you to wear a mask when incidence is high. If you’re traveling during Spring Break, you can check county COVID community levels here to inform your masking choices.

Long COVID Resources
Researchers estimate that 10-30 percent of COVID-19 patients may have lingering physical or mental health problems weeks or months after recovering, even if their course of illness was mild. Around the country, long COVID clinics and post COVID care centers are opening to help people who had COVID and are experiencing lingering symptoms, such as fatigue, breathing issues, anxiety, new diabetes, brain fog, or trouble concentrating. While there isn’t yet a clinic in Colorado Springs, there are several post COVID care clinics in the Denver area, and a virtual clinic is also available. Long COVID can be a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504, and Section 1557 if it substantially limits one or more major life activities.

State of Colorado Continues Pandemic Response
As we move to the next chapter in response to COVID-19, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment remains committed to protecting disproportionately impacted communities and at-risk Coloradans. Colorado’s Next Chapter: Our Roadmap to Moving Forward, released by Governor Jared Polis and his administration, serves as a roadmap to help the state and all of our partners continue to serve Coloradans’ public health needs. The plan lays out the steps the administration believes are necessary to maintain a level of preparedness and agility that will keep Coloradans safe and healthy — no matter if it is for the next wave of this pandemic or an unknown pandemic in the future.
