When we launched Gratitude Gifts a couple of weeks ago, heartwarming stories from across campus filled the president@coloradocollege.edu inbox as faculty and staff nominated their colleagues. So far, I’ve learned about the wonderful qualities of nearly 200 gift recipients.
Some traits our staff and faculty appreciate in their colleagues:

Just some of the work mentioned that makes the college run well:

- Preparing equipment, cleaning, organizing, and supporting classes
- Improving how events are experienced
- Troubleshooting technology

A few of the fun things we appreciate:
- An affinity for ducks

- Sharing pictures of foster kittens
- Outstanding ping pong skills
These stories show what makes this community special and strong.
Let’s keep sharing our gratitude! In addition to the remaining 150 Gratitude Gifts from the original anonymous gift, I’m happy to announce that an additional anonymous gift has been made so we can continue this uplifting practice.
Gratitude Gift recipients choose from a $10 gift card to use on campus at any of the Bon Appetit outlets including Colorado Coffee, Susie B’s, Rastall Cafe, Benji’s, and The Preserve, or a $10 gift card for use at the CC Bookstore.
To nominate a co-worker to receive a Gratitude Gift, email a short note (50 words or less) with the following to president@coloradocollege.edu“>president@coloradocollege.edu:
Subject line: Gratitude
Name of the CC employee you are nominating
Short explanation (50 words maximum) of why you appreciate this person
Your nomination will be shared with the recipient. The recipient will be notified by email of receiving a Gratitude Gift and where to pick it up. There is a limit of one gift per nominated person so more people can benefit.
Thanks again to the anonymous donors who are making this program possible.
With appreciation!
