2023 SUMMER BLOCKS APPLICATIONS
DUE BY JANUARY 31
Applications for the 2023 CC Summer Blocks Away are now open. Students who apply by January 31 will be reviewed for an aid award of up to 90% of the program fee + airfare. We recommend applying as soon as you have decided on a program as many faculty use rolling admissions and some programs may fill before the deadline.

HOW DOES THE WILD CARD WORK?
We get this question a lot. Basically we explain it as a coupon for 1 tuition-free summer course at CC. The Wild Card is a waiver of tuition for the first summer course you take at CC. You do not need to apply for it. It is automatically applied to offset the tuition the first time you enroll in a summer course at CC. The Wild Card does not apply to the program fee or airfare charges associated with a Summer Block Away, but does remove the tuition charge. For this reason it is important to apply by the January 31 deadline so that you can have your application reviewed for a possible aid award towards these additional travel expenses.

THINKING ABOUT FALL 2023 SEMESTER AWAY?
The time to apply to study away for a semester in Fall 2023 is now. Yes, the deadline for our internal CC application is not until March, but many of our partner programs will close before that deadline as demand is high for study away and many programs use rolling admissions. The Internal Application for all partnered programs with CC (semester or full year) is available on Summit. More information on any of our semester options for Fall 2023 is available on the Global Education Semester Away website, including dedicated pages for funding a semester away, reviewing course equivalencies, or selecting a program by field of study.

WHEN WILL OFF-CAMPUS BLOCKS
FOR THE 2023-2024 YEAR BE ANNOUNCED?
The official kick-off of the recruitment and application period for all 2023-2024 academic year blocks begins on February 9th with the Study Away Fair. Some programs may begin advertising in January, but February 9th represents your best chance to learn about blocks away as well as semesters abroad as we host a dual fair, with both types of study abroad represented. The Fair will again be in the Worner Center lobby and will kick off the application period for all 2023-2024 Blocks Away. The Application Window runs from February 9th through March 22nd, so head to the Fair or to the Global Education website in February to explore all the options for next year.
