Search Chair and Vice President/Dean of the Faculty Emily Chan said, “I have seen Lori work on important and contentious topics with grace and great judgment, educating all who were working with her. She is a consensus builder and problem solver who is committed to ADEI in her work. She helps stakeholders find meaningful and creative outcomes.”
Lori also shared her gratitude and eagerness to start her new role.
“What a privilege to have the opportunity to continue my service to the college as its next chief financial officer,” she said. “I value the relationships I have formed here at Colorado College, and I look forward to continuing collaborations with students, faculty, trustees, and staff, especially those hardworking individuals in the Finance and Administration division. I look forward to partnering well with President Richardson and the leadership team, and I’m honored to be associated with CC.”
Prior to joining Colorado College, Lori was associate vice president for finance at University of Puget Sound; assistant vice president/controller and several other finance roles at New Mexico State University; and she worked in finance in healthcare, as a CPA, and as an auditor.
She earned her bachelor of accountancy degree from New Mexico State University and CPA certification from the State of New Mexico. She values professional development and has served as a volunteer for several years with professional associations supporting higher education finance and administration.
Thanks to the search committee and leadership advisory firm WittKiefer for their dedication and care throughout this search. I am grateful for the leadership and guidance of Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operating Officer Robert G. Moore, who will retire from the college after 14 years.
