Commencement Celebrations are just over a month away!

Class of 2023 Quote: “Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.” – Audre Lorde

Seniors, you are in the final few weeks of your time at Colorado College. Can you believe it? Commencement is set for Sunday, May 28, at 8:30 a.m. in Ed Robson Arena. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

As you head into the final block of the academic year, and the flurry of year-end activity that comes with it, here is the need-to-know information to get ready for Commencement:

Apply to Graduate Deadline: Friday, April 28
The deadline to apply to graduate is this Friday, April 28. You will not be able to walk in the ceremony in May, or claim your guest tickets, if you have not taken this important step. Students who are eligible will find the link to the application on their student menu in Banner SSB, and it only takes a few minutes to complete.

Submit Your Info for Senior Spotlights

We want to honor the outstanding achievements of our senior students! To be featured on CC’s social media accounts leading up to Commencement, just complete this quick survey, which asks you to share about your CC experience, favorite memories, and post-graduation plans.

Grad Images

If you had your photo taken on campus last week by Grad Images, watch for an email from Grad Images with instructions to view and purchase images. Grad Images will also be on campus during Commencement weekend:

  • Friday, May 26: Chapman Room at Ed Robson Arena, 1-4 p.m. (posed individual and family photos)
  • Sunday, May 28: Commencement ceremony (graduates crossing the stage and posed with diplomas). Register in advance at gradimages.com/registration to receive photos more quickly after graduation. Remember, you will be able to claim one free 5X7 photo, courtesy of President Richardson.

Ticket Information

Seniors who have applied to graduate will receive an email at the beginning of May with instructions for how to claim tickets for the Commencement and Baccalaureate ceremonies through Ticketmaster. Graduates must claim their free guest tickets by Friday, May 19

  • Baccalaureate, May 27: Shove Chapel tickets issued via Ticketmaster on first-come, first-served basis (max two per student), with overflow in Kathryn Mohrman Theatre.
  • Commencement, May 28: Five seated and two standing-room-only tickets per student
  • Please note: There will not be a waitlist for students and families who wish to claim more than the allotted number of free guest tickets. Instead, please connect with other students who do not plan to use all of their allotted tickets, and ask them to directly transfer their extra tickets to you or your guests via Ticketmaster.

Livestream Information

For family, friends, and members of the campus community who are not attending Commencement or Baccalaureate in person, both ceremonies will be livestreamed at www.coloradocollege.edu/commencement. Honors Convocation, which takes place on May 16, will be livestreamed at www.coloradocollege.edu/live.
