I have had the joy and privilege of working closely with Jane Turnis beginning before I arrived at CC. Her role on our senior leadership team has been invaluable, both as vice president for communications and as associate vice president of executive communications.
Jane created key communications and led the development of a unified CC brand. She brought a level head, wise insight, and a quick wit that I will deeply miss after she retires June 1. And on top of all of that, she’s also a talented musician!
Jane’s contributions to the college’s communications span nearly 20 years. She led the college’s Communications Division, including KRCC and the Print Shop, for more than 13 years, guiding the institution through a communications master planning process including a rebrand, launching new college and athletics logos, wayfinding, and redesigning the Bulletin alumni magazine and the website. Before that, she bolstered the college’s presence in national and regional media for six years. She expanded the college’s reach, and supported three CC presidents as well as the board of trustees.
“In my almost 20 years at CC, I’ve been lucky to collaborate with so many wonderful colleagues across the college who care deeply about our students, their educational opportunities, and their potential,” Jane says. “I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to tell the amazing CC story in many ways.”
Please join me in thanking Jane for her many contributions to CC and on an outstanding career. We will wish her well at a retirement celebration in May. Please check your email for an invitation.
Sincerely,
