Using Power Automate is like having a magic wand that makes repetitive tasks go away! It can save a lot of time, reduce the potential for mistakes, and allow us to spend our time on tasks that benefit from human involvement. There are no prerequisites (we will start from scratch), and you don’t need to bring anything. Participants may use a computer in the computer lab or are welcome to bring their laptop.

In an environment where projects are often assigned to a group of individuals who may or may not work together, whose project leader may or may not hold a position of authority, the skill of being able to guide a project successfully from beginning to end is even more important. This program will provide tools to successfully manage any project at CC, regardless of its size or makeup of the team. Participants will also learn how to mentor others to lead projects.

Because white discomfort plays such an important role in the maintenance of racism and in white unwillingness to work against it, direct focus, discussion, and strategies for addressing white discomfort are necessary. This workshop uses lecture, individual exercises, and small-group discussion to explore the nature of white discomfort and its functions in maintaining racism.

Antiracism is a commitment at Colorado College and one of the three lenses that guide the work we do here. This interactive session provides a basic understanding of racism and white discomfort, covers specific kinds of harm caused to BIPOC people by racism, provides concrete resources and action items for people seeking to work against racism, and includes time for self-reflection and conversation along with interactive practice and exercises. Participants will leave with concrete steps they can take related to antiracist work.
