Building Into The Future: Save the Date!
Crown’s Educational Development Day is Friday, May 17.
The Crown Center for Teaching’ (CCT) is pleased to announce the return of our year-end workshop, titled “Building into the Future.”
This day-long gathering is open to all faculty and staff with a desire to engage the ways we prepare our students to enter the lives, careers, and communities they will engage after college. Through presentations, discussions, and workshops, we will not only explore practices of reflection and assessment alongside world readiness, but also how we might authentically connect such preparation to curricular elements. Our guests will be Peony Fhagen (Associate Vice President for Institutional Equity and Belonging) and Ashley Finley (Vice President for Research and Senior Advisor to the President of AAC&U).
Block Break Breakfasts
4th Thursdays: 8:30-10:30 a.m. in Cossitt Commons
Responding to a request for more informal space to converse about all-things teaching, the CCT will begin hosting block break breakfasts. Come grab a bagel and some coffee or tea. Join your Crown Center Colleagues for an informal conversation about the block just finished or yet to come. Use it as an excuse to catch up with others and/or delay your grading. No RSVP required.
