Whether you are a new or returning student, I am glad you are part of our vibrant CC community. As the Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students, it is my honor to support you on your academic and personal journey.
Your success, both inside and outside the classroom, is at the heart of everything we do. Our faculty, staff, and student leaders are committed to helping you navigate your college experience (Support Resources for Students).
There will be bumps along this journey, so remember that at CC, we value the power of diverse perspectives and experiences, intellectual exploration, and a deep commitment to community. These values create a unique and intellectually challenging campus environment where we can learn, grow, and dream together.
Being in a community together means that we must embrace shared values and hold ourselves and each other accountable for our collective well-being. Without accountability, we simply cannot have a functioning, safe learning environment on campus (Community Standards).
Our goal is to foster a campus environment where free expression engenders rigorous debate for shared understanding (Freedom of Expression Policy).
You do not have to navigate such complexities on your own. We are offering three sessions on our Freedom of Expression policy (see attached below) to ensure we keep communal well-being at the center of what we do.
