We are excited to share that as of July, the CCE is now strategically and organizationally linked to new areas. Why? The goal is more collaboration, more coherency, and a simpler “road map” of opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and partners! First, we are forming a community impact team, connecting and coordinating staff who support community engagement and college access programs. Second, we joined efforts to unite experiential education pathways (community engagement, global education, field study, internships, and applied classroom and research experiences) into a collaborative multi-office initiative. Accordingly, this will be our final CCE newsletter. We will be combining forces with other offices for joint “Experiential Education” newsletters moving forward.
As part of these changes, you might notice a few new roles and titles for our team. Dr. Jordan Travis Radke is now the Director of Community Impact, a role charged with leading strategic, mission-centered, college-level initiatives that advance community relations, visibility, and impact. Niki Sosa Gallegos is now the Assistant Director of Community Partnerships, charged with managing the strategic development of CC/community partnerships with non-profit and philanthropic organizations and the public sector. Each role gains more responsibility, with more impact.
