Join visionary civil rights leader Valarie Kaur Tuesday, Oct. 1 from 7–9 p.m. in Celeste Theatre for an immersive experience of storytelling, music, song, ancestral wisdom, and community-building. This will be a space for soulful introspection, deep listening, and courageous action. You will leave with the tools needed to lead with love and courage in your daily life. Valarie and fellow artists will tell stories of how their ancestors survived seemingly apocalyptic times. Together, we will explore how each of us can walk the path of love, healing, and justice.
Special guests include celebrated Sikh women artists Jasvir Kaur Rababan and Nirinjan Kaur Khalsa, and renowned trumpeter and artist Sonny Singh performing from his new album Sage Warrior.
This event is sponsored by the Chaplain’s Office, Cultural Attractions Fund, Office of Institutional Equity & Belonging, The Butler Center, English Department, Journalism, Religion Department, Wellness Resource Center, and the Refuge at La Foret.
