Changemaker Workshops |
|
Did you know that the CCE offers a workshop series that aims to build changemaking skills and generate dialogue around self, community impact and issues, and theories of social change? Find more information and RSVP for all workshops here. All workshops are held from 3:30-5 p.m. in Hybl Community Classroom. Upcoming topics include: What is community engagement, anyway? (Tuesday, Oct. 29), Systems-Level Thinking and Root Cause Analysis (Wednesday, Oct. 30) and How to Build Collective Power (Thursday, Nov. 21).

Summer Away Fair Coming in November |
|
The College’s annual Summer Away Fair will be Thursday, Nov. 21, from noon-2 p.m. in the Worner Lobby. Faculty and student alumni of all 11 CC Summer Away programs will be there to share information about their programs. Summer 2025 will feature five new programs in Cabo Verde, France, Greece, Ireland & Scotland, and the Western United States. We will also have six popular programs returning for 2025, including Summer Spanish in Spain, as well as programs in Bali, Berlin, Italy, and London. Come, ask questions, pick your favorite, and you can even apply on Summit that same day. Applications are open until Jan. 15, but we always recommend applying as soon as you have chosen a program you’d like to join.

Vintage Swag Swap: Connecting Past & Present Through CC Gear |

Bring your old and new CC gear to this special swap event at the CC Pantry Exchange (basement of Worner). Join your fellow students and CC alumni to exchange stories, memories, and apparel. The goal? Connect across generations, celebrate CC’s rich history, and take home something that represents your time at CC or maybe something more vintage. Help us create a sustainable, community-driven event rooted in storytelling and shared experiences on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Applications are due Sunday, Nov. 3 at midnight, and will be reviewed by the committee before our feedback session on Thursday, Nov. 7. Global Education would like to remind everyone of the following deadlines coming up this fall.
The Withdrawal Deadline for Block 7 or Block 8 Off-Campus Blocks is Sunday, Dec. 1. All students enrolled on Summit for a Block 7 or Block 8 off-campus course should confirm their applications on Summit or request cancellation of their application on Summit by this date.
The Application Deadline to apply for the Block 7-8 CC in Bishkek and CC in Asia programs is also Sunday, Dec. 1. Students interested in either program should apply as soon as possible due to rolling admissions but must apply by the deadline to receive consideration.

Stroud: Paid leadership opportunity: Become a Bridge/Stroud mentor and make a difference!
Are you passionate about mentoring and supporting others on their educational journey? Become a mentor/resident assistant this summer to guide first-year CC students or prospective high school students as they transition into college life at CC. Make a lasting impact, develop leadership skills, and be part of a transformative experience for both you and your mentees!
Bridge Scholars Program Peer Mentor
Position Work Dates: July 28 – August 17, 2025
Mentors will receive an initial stipend of $1,000, along with covered housing and meals during the summer programming. Starting in August, mentors will be paid an hourly rate for their work during the academic year.

Stroud Scholars Resident Assistant/Mentor

Visit the CC Exchange to access free clothing and gear, including warm jackets, hats, and mittens for the upcoming colder weather. Located in the basement of Worner, the CC Exchange is open on Thursdays from 2-4 p.m. during weeks 1-3 of each block, making it easy for you to drop by and grab what you need. EcoFund: Funding for Student Ideas |

EcoFund is available from the OoS for students to support projects, events, and research initiatives. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with proposals eligible for funding up to $3,000 each. The mission is to promote the implementation of campus sustainability initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Learn how to apply today!
