Pikes Peak Regional History Day Competition 2025
|
Tomorrow, Saturday, Mar. 1, CC is hosting the Pikes Peak Regional History Day Competition. Over 200 local middle and high school students will present their history research projects based on the annual national theme, “Rights and Responsibilities in History.”
The public is welcome to view the documentary and performance presentations from 9 a.m.-noon in the 2nd and 3rd floor Armstrong classrooms and to view the other exhibitions from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. when the judging is not taking place. The awards ceremony occurs from 4-5 p.m. in Celeste Theatre.

Mark your calendars for the Board of Trustees Town Hall!

Happening on Tuesday, Mar. 4, from 2:30-3:30 p.m., the Board of Trustees and Interim President Whitaker will share updates from the February Board Meeting. Please register in advance to participate. Once you have registered, you will receive an Outlook invitation that includes the webinar link. The town hall will be recorded and shared with the campus community in the week following the event.

CC is a Top Producer of Fulbright Students for the Fourth Time

The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs has recognized Colorado College for being one of the institutions of higher education that has the highest number of students selected for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.
This is the third year in a row CC has made this list and the fourth time in the last five years. Fulbright Top Producing Institutions such as CC value global connection and support members of their campus communities across the U.S. to pursue international opportunities.

Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed: The Rock Experience, running Feb. 28-Mar. 20, is a rock ‘n roll parable with a significant message for today’s audiences, based on the hit children’s book by Mo Willems. Wilbur and all his fellow naked mole rats in the Tunnel have always been, well… naked. Wondering what other possibilities are out there, Wilbur discovers a love for clothing and style. When word of his new passion turns the Tunnel upside down, he proves to everyone that there’s no need to be just like everyone else. Tickets start at $18, and CC students get free tickets the day of the performance!

At 6 p.m., we invite you to experience insightful remarks from artist Alisa Banks and curator Jillian Sico about Banks’ exhibition Unerased. Following their discussion, renowned artist Margarita Cabrera will speak about her compelling exhibitions, Space in Between and CARE. Don’t miss this chance to immerse yourself in the world of contemporary art!
