The time has come — this weekend, you will graduate and officially become Colorado College alumni! We are so proud of you and look forward to honoring your achievements throughout Commencement Weekend.
Here are the final details and key reminders:

- Mandatory Commencement Rehearsal: All graduates are required to attend rehearsal Friday, May 16, 11 a.m. in order to walk in Sunday’s ceremony. Line up at 10:45 a.m. in the quad between South Hall and Shove Memorial Chapel.
- After the rehearsal, graduates are invited to stick around for a celebratory BBQ lunch on the concourse level of Ed Robson Arena, hosted by the annual giving and alumni offices (this event is for graduates only).
- Baccalaureate, Saturday, May 17, 3 p.m., Shove Memorial Chapel
This event kicks off Commencement Weekend with a chance to reflect and express gratitude. Eric Popkin, Associate Professor of Sociology, will give this year’s Baccalaureate address.
- Graduates will gather on the steps of Palmer Hall for the senior class photo at 2 p.m. (cap and gown required), then lineup to proceed directly to Shove Memorial Chapel for Baccalaureate.
- Commencement, Sunday, May 18, 8:30 a.m., Ed Robson Arena
This is the culmination of the academic year and a time to honor you, the graduates of the Class of 2025. Mike Shum ’07 will deliver the Commencement Address.
- Call time for graduates is 7:30 a.m. Graduates assemble on the quad between South Hall and Shove Memorial Chapel. Doors to Ed Robson Arena will open to guests at 7 a.m. Guests should be seated by 8:20 a.m. The event will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude by 11 a.m. Please remind your guests to allow ample time for traffic, parking, and entry into the venue.

Important: Please bring only your cell phone to Commencement, as no storage option will be available for graduates. Every graduate will be required to have gowns unzipped prior to entering the arena and no empty bottles, cans, or containers of ANY kind will be permitted inside event.

Post-Commencement Reception
|
Immediately following the Commencement ceremony, please join Interim President Manya Whitaker with your guests, fellow graduates, and other campus community members on Tava Quad for light refreshments.
|
Baccalaureate and Commencement are open only to graduates and ticketed guests. A livestream for both ceremonies will be available online for those unable to attend in person.
Transfer tickets to your guests Don’t forget to transfer tickets to your guests via CC Ticketmaster. Guests must also create an account to claim transferred tickets and enter the venue (detailed transfer instructions are available here). All tickets are electronic and must be scanned from a mobile device.
Cap and gown pickup Be sure to pick up your regalia from the CC Bookstore between 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Thursday, May 15 or Friday, May 16.

GradImages will be on campus during Commencement Weekend to capture the moment. Graduates are encouraged to register in advance at gradimages.com/registration in order to view and purchase photos more quickly after graduation.

- Sunday, May 18: Commencement ceremony (graduates crossing the stage and posed with diplomas)

Graduates will be able to claim one free 5×7 photo, courtesy of Interim President Whitaker.

Saturday, May 17, 2 p.m. Graduates will gather on the steps of Palmer Hall for a group photo with their classmates. (Cap and gown required)

Parking and Road Closures
|
Commencement attendees may park anywhere on campus (no fees or permits apply), except the third floor of the Ed Robson Arena parking garage on East Dale Street. This area is reserved for guests with limited mobility who require parking close to the venue. Accessible parking is also available on all levels of the Ed Robson Arena parking garage and in other parking lots on campus as well. Golf carts will be available from parking areas across campus to transport guests to Ed Robson Arena.
On Sunday, May 18, expect traffic congestion in the area throughout the morning. The following roads will be closed for Commencement activities:

- Cache La Poudre St. from N. Nevada Ave. to N. Cascade Ave.
- N. Tejon St. from E. Dale St. to E. Cache La Poudre St.

Important Accessibility and Venue Details
|
Accessibility – CC welcomes individuals with disabilities. Please see the Commencement webpage for information on accessible parking and accommodations available within Ed Robson Arena.
Clear Bag Policy – Ed Robson Arena has a clear bag policy, which will be enforced during Commencement weekend. Only clear bags and small clutch-sized purses will be allowed at entry. Read more about the clear bag policy. Clear bags can be purchased at the CC Bookstore just south of the main arena entrance. (Bookstore hours on Sunday, May 18: 6:30 a.m.–1 p.m.)
