Upgrade to Personal Information and Employee Dashboards
Starting Monday, Jan. 19, you will see important changes when you log into Self-Service Banner (SSB). The Employee Dashboard and the Personal Information Dashboard will officially go live.
Please note that this represents a change from the original rollout plan that was communicated recently. Time sheets and leave reports will remain in Banner 8 for now. Those functions will move to Banner 9 in a later phase, scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 22.

Personal Information Dashboard (Banner 9):
The process for logging into Banner 9 will be the same as Banner 8. After logging into Banner SSB, navigate to the Personal Information tab and select the Personal Information Dashboard:
On this dashboard, you can view and update personal details such as:
- Home address
- Mailing address for W-2s
- Emergency contacts
- Other personal data points
The new dashboard layout is faster, mobile friendly, and easier to navigate with commonly used actions consolidated in one place.
Employee Dashboard (Banner 9):
From the Employee tab, select the Employee Dashboard:
Starting Monday, Jan. 19, you will be able to:
- View leave balances
- View and update direct deposit information
- View earnings history, job information, and tax forms
What Is Not Yet Changing
Time Sheets and Leave Reports—these are still in Banner 8.
Time sheet entry, leave reporting, and supervisor approvals can be accessed both from the current Employee menu above and in the My Activities section (located on the far right of the Employee Dashboard). These will remain in the current Banner 8 format until February 22, after which they will transition to Banner 9. Additional instructions regarding time sheets and leave reports will be provided soon.
Testing Environment (Optional, Before Go-Live)
Banner 9 Self-Service is available now in a test environment containing data from the previous day. You are welcome to explore the new dashboards and make changes for practice purposes.
- Changes made in the test environment do not affect live data
- Test data is refreshed nightly and any changes will be overwritten
- The test environment is only accessible on campus
