State of the Rockies “Flower Power” Conservation Activist Vintage Poster Contest |
|
Design and create a vintage-looking, 1970’s-inspired poster that advocates for an environmental issue that is important to you. You can use pen and paper, Illustrator, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or any other platform to create the poster as long as it is your own original design. Cash prizes of $700 for 1st place, $500 for 2nd place, and $250 for 3rd place. The entry deadline is Monday, Feb. 9, 11:59 p.m. The link to submit is available on the State of the Rockies website. Nominate Yourself or a Fellow Student for the Newman Civic Fellowship |
|
The Newman Civic Fellowship recognizes and supports community-committed students who are changemakers and public problem-solvers. This national fellowship runs from fall semester of 2026 through spring semester of 2027. More details can be found on the Newman Civic Fellowship website. Summer in Spain Confirmation/Withdrawal Deadline |
|
All students approved for the 2026 2-Block summer Spanish in Spain program must either confirm their participation or withdraw from the program by Monday, Feb. 16. Both confirmation and withdrawal should be completed on Summit by this date. Late withdrawals will require a charge of 25% of the program fee (75% if delayed until Block 8).

All students approved for a summer 2026 Off-Campus Block course must either confirm their participation or withdraw from the program by Sunday, Mar. 1. Both confirmation and withdrawal should be completed on Summit by this date. Late withdrawals will require a charge of 25% of the program fee (75% if delayed until Block 8).

Priority Deadline for Fall Semester Away |
|
The priority deadline for the CC Internal Application for a partner-led fall semester and 2026-27 Academic Year Away, or the CC in Berlin or CC Russian in Bishkek programs is Sunday, Mar. 1. It is highly recommended that all students interested in any fall semester, half-semester, or full year programs apply by or before this date, as many programs do fill early.

Public Interest Fellowship Program (PIFP) Fellowships |
|
PIFP Fellowships are posted on the PIFP website and in Handshake. Gain experience in Colorado nonprofits. Test your interest in the social sector. All CC students are eligible for paid, full-time summer fellowships. Graduating seniors are eligible for paid, full-time yearlong fellowships. Deadline for applying is Friday, Mar. 6.

Apply for 2026-27 Off-Campus Blocks by March 15 |
|
Applications for all 2026-27 Off-Campus Blocks open on Thursday, Jan. 29, the day of the Study Away Fair, and close on Sunday, Mar. 15. For full consideration for financial aid, students should apply on Summit within that window, with earlier applications highly recommended as most programs use rolling admissions and rosters can fill before March 15. 2026 Study Away Fair |
|
Our largest Study Away Fair of the Year is Thursday, Jan. 29, noon-2 p.m. in the Worner Center Lobby. You can explore all of the 2026-27 Blocks Away, as well as visit with representatives from a wide range of semester away providers, all pre-approved by the College. It is a great way to find the right program for you to study away next year.
