Dear Students,
Participate in democracy by registering to vote! Registering to vote is quick, easy, and ensures that your voice is heard in our community. If you live in or go to school in Colorado, you have the right to vote here.
You can register online with the last four digits of your Social Security Number or your Colorado ID. Visit GoVoteColorado.gov to register to vote or to update your voter registration. The ability to register to vote online with the last four digits of your SSN is an exciting new change that we encourage students to use as an opportunity to easily register from home!
In Colorado, all eligible registered voters automatically receive a mail ballot, so you can easily vote by mail or ballot drop box. Register now, or update your voter registration, to ensure you will get your ballot for the 2022 Election. You must update your voter registration each time you move.
For information about registering or updating your registration in a state other than Colorado, visit vote.usa.gov.
- Every eligible voter can complete the registration process completely online at GoVoteColorado.gov, using the last four digits of your Social Security Number or your Colorado ID.
- You can also register in person at your county clerk’s office, by mail, or at a Colorado DMV.
- As of July 2019, if you are serving a sentence of parole, you may register to vote and vote in Colorado. For more information about voting with convictions, please visit VotingWithConviction.org.
- You may register to vote online or update your registration and still receive a mail ballot, up to eight days before the election in which you intend to vote. After that, you can register to vote or update your registration in person at a Voter Service Center and vote in person, up until 7 p.m. on Election Day when polls close.
Ballots will begin being mailed three weeks prior to Election Day (Nov. 8, 2022). Completed ballots may be mailed in or dropped off at any Voter Service and Polling Center or ballot drop box. To locate a vote center near you, visit your county clerk’s website. You may also vote in person during early voting or on Election Day.
