Kroger Pharmacy In-network Status 

Kroger will no longer be an in-network pharmacy as of Jan. 1, 2023. Members can still use CVS, Walgreens, Safeway, and other pharmacies. To find pharmacies, go to www.mycigna.com, under the prescriptions tab, choose ‘Find a Pharmacy.’  You will need to log-in (or register if you’ve not already done so). If you need assistance, call customer service 1 (800) 244-6224.  

Centura In-network Status 

Cigna, our healthcare insurance provider, is currently in negotiations with Centura to renew their in-network status.  They have not yet reached an agreement, and this could cause changes to our health options as CC employees.  

If they are unable to reach an agreement, Cigna will communicate with plan members who have used Centura Health in the last 18 months to let them know the agreement with Centura Health as an in-network provider may end on Feb.1, 2023 (if additional negotiations do not resolve the issue). We expect Cigna will send those updates during our Winter Break.   

Potentially, this could affect CC employees and dependents who use Centura Health providers through our Cigna benefits. Cigna has a duty to notify plan members within 30 days of pending changes. Any plan member would still be able to see a Centura Health provider after Feb. 1, 2023, but the provider would be subject to the out-of-network cost-sharing after that date, unless the two parties reach an agreement. Cost-sharing can be seen on the benefits website at:  www.mybensite.com/coloradocollege under the medical tab. 

We know that you choose a health provider for many reasons, and that this change could be challenging given your potential past relationship with Centura providers.   

To help you prepare for any transition, we are providing a list of Centura Health providers and alternative facilities for care. It is our hope that Cigna and Centura can reach an agreement, but we want to provide you with options.
