Join us tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. in Celeste Theatre for an evening with author Rebecca F. Kuang as she discusses her novel Yellowface – the audacious novel that’s entertained and challenged readers worldwide.
A blistering satire of publishing, Yellowface grapples with questions of diversity, racism, and cultural appropriation, as well as the alienation of social media. A Marshall Scholar with degrees from Cambridge and Oxford, Kuang is also the author of The Poppy War trilogy and Babel. She is currently completing a PhD in East Asian Languages and Literatures at Yale.
This talk is generously sponsored by “Humanities for Our Times: From Epistemologies and Methodologies to Liberatory Creative Practice and Social Justice.”
