October Performance Conversation Reminder & Announcements

Dear Colleagues,

Having the opportunity to participate in frequent developmental conversations with your supervisor ensures that you have the space to be recognized, challenged, document clear goals, and engage in dialogue around how things are going for you at work.

October 2024 Performance Conversations

The October 2024 Performance Conversation cycle for benefits-eligible staff will be available in Bridge beginning on Monday, September 30, and completed evaluations are due no later than Friday, November 8. You can find a suggested timeline on the Feedback Practices website if that is helpful as you and your team are planning these conversations.

Performance Conversations consist of three steps, including:

1. Self-Review

2. Manager Review
3. Performance Conversation meeting

If you have questions, problems accessing any of these processes, or if you would like 1:1 coaching or support, Sara San Souci has office hours available.

New – Supervisor Feedback Survey

A new process will be introduced during this cycle, allowing you to provide feedback on your direct supervisor and your experience working with them. At Colorado College, we believe that everyone has the potential to grow, and feedback is a key tool which helps us improve and be recognized – both individually and as a community.

Due to the size of our staff community and the reporting structure at the college, anonymized feedback can be challenging. To encourage participation and honest responses, survey results will only be shared with the Cabinet member overseeing the division, and only if at least three responses are received. If you would like to share identifiable information, there will be a space to provide your name or your supervisor’s name, but it is important to note that these fields are optional.

The survey will be open from September 30 through November 8. More information, including the survey link, will be shared in upcoming Digest announcements. We encourage you to participate and to reach out to Sara San Souci with any questions.

Training Reminder

The Performance Conversation is a convenient time to check in with your team about whether they have completed the Emergency Management Plan (EMP) training course. All full-time staff and faculty were enrolled in the course in Bridge and must have it completed no later than Friday, November 1.
