Join us this January by engaging in the Week of Action 2025 as we celebrate MLK Day and continue to celebrate our Sesquicentennial!
Week of Action is a week of opportunities and events that aim to mobilize and inspire staff and faculty to engage in local community-based work and build community.
In alignment with MLK Day, the Week of Action honors the spirit of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and will take place Jan. 13-17. Our hope is to emphasize group opportunities, offering a way to enhance team-building and strong relationships on-campus, in addition to community impact.
Last year, staff and faculty engaged in meal prepping at the Marian House, sorting food at Care and Share Food Bank, supporting first grade teachers at Penrose Elementary School, cooking a meal for youth at The Place, organizing donations at the Habitat for Humanity Restore, and so much more!
We encourage departmental teams and individuals to join us, Jan. 13-17 for a 2-3 hour community engagement activity. To express interest as a team or individually, please complete this form by Oct. 25.
We will follow up with you in Block 3 to make sure we have all the details needed to make a match. Then, in Block 4, we will finalize groups with community organizations so that you will be ready to go in January.
