As we commemorate 150 years of Colorado College, we have an opportunity to reflect on where we’ve been and where we are headed. This milestone challenges us to honor our liberal arts legacy while taking bold steps to address today’s challenges and build a thriving future.
As I shared at Spring Conference, every division of the College recently participated in a coordinated institutional planning exercise — the first at CC in several years. The result is a set of divisional plans published concurrently and in one consistent format, outlining key priorities and measures of success for each area of the College.
I have also published my priorities as Interim President — those strategic initiatives that demand leadership across departments and divisions, will benefit substantially from presidential engagement, and require collective focus and resources to make the biggest impact in the years to come.
These plans provide a cohesive roadmap for decision-making and daily operations. They help us align our efforts with the evolving needs of our community, the broader landscape of higher education, and our mission to deliver an outstanding liberal arts education. They also celebrate our progress and the good work already underway in each division.
By making them available to the full campus community, we aim to provide clarity and foster a shared sense of accountability.
