The Office of Sustainability is Hiring |
|
If you’re passionate about climate action, campus impact, and building a more sustainable future, this is your chance to get involved and get paid for it. Open positions will be posted on Handshake starting Sunday, March 1, and we’re looking for students to join the following teams:
– Campus Operations – Institutional Data & Insights – Sustainability Engagement & Experiences
Whether you are interested in hands-on sustainability projects, analyzing data to drive change, or creating engaging programs and events, you will play a role in advancing sustainability efforts across campus.

Upcoming Summer and Blocks Away Deadlines |
|
Students may withdraw from any summer 2026 Off Campus Block Away course by Sunday, March 1 without incurring program fee charges. Later withdrawals will lead to a portion of the program fee being billed to the student as a nonrefundable charge. For the 2026–27 Block Away Primary Application window, applications are open on Summit from Jan. 29-March 15. Students who apply during this period are reviewed for aid eligibility, and aid awards are issued in late March. Applications may be accepted after the window closes; however, financial aid may not be available for submissions received after Sunday, March 15.

All CC students are eligible for paid, full-time summer fellowships. Graduating seniors are eligible for paid, full-time yearlong fellowships.

Sense of Place: Farm to Fork Tour During Block Break 7 |
|
Join the Office of Sustainability’s new Sense of Place Farm to Fork Tour in partnership with Bon Appétit during Block Break 7. Explore the journey your food takes from local farms to your plate. This immersive and educational experience offers a behind-the-scenes look at the food system—from production and processing to preparation and consumption—all rooted in our local community. Along the way, you’ll visit sustainable farms, meet local producers, enjoy fresh, thoughtfully prepared meals, and deepen your understanding of sustainability, local economies, and food justice. Sign up before Wednesday, April 8.

The application for Summer Internship Funding is now open. All applications must be submitted through Summit under the Office of the Dean of the College. Apply early! You do not need to have a position secured to apply. For more information, join an information session hosted through the Career Center, or visit the website and FAQ page. Questions? The William P. Dean Memorial Fund |
|
This fund supports undergraduate initiatives and projects that collaborate with a community nonprofit to address the needs of marginalized populations. The maximum award is $1,000, with up to three awards granted in an academic year. Any student-initiated project that works with a community nonprofit partner to address a social need will be eligible. Applicants should be students who are actively engaged in community-based work in the local Colorado Springs community or in the student’s home community. Learn more and apply.

Join the State of the Rockies for Data Viz Night on Thursday, Apr. 9 from 6–8:30 p.m. in Cornerstone Art Center, featuring a film premiere, interactive GIS mapping, and student poster contest winners. Enjoy an engaging evening of visuals, data, and student creativity, complete with food and drinks in a semi‑formal setting.
