We want to thank you for your interest as the College continues to gather information on the Instructure cybersecurity incident.
At this time, Instructure has informed us that Canvas is safe to use, and ITS has ensured Canvas remains available for continued use. CC’s ITS team and cybersecurity partners remain in communication with Instructure and will continue to review new information as it becomes available.
Instructure has shared that it is continuing to investigate the incident and has begun implementing additional safeguards intended to strengthen the security of the Canvas platform we rely on. These include third-party security review, changes to administrative access permissions, and additional measures related to the data involved in the incident.
