Coming Soon: CC’s Anonymous Third-Party Reporting Platform

Colorado College has partnered with OneTrust to develop Speak Up Colorado College, an anonymous reporting platform set to launch in Block 5.
An anonymous, third-party reporting resource provides a way for all members of the CC community to confidentially speak up, share their perspectives, ask challenging questions, and raise concerns about behaviors that conflict with the values of the organization without fear of retaliation. This is all done while protecting individuals who bring concerns forward.
Concerns can cover a variety of topics, including, but not limited to:
  • Misuse of college assets or funds
  • Misuse of confidential information
  • Violations of giving and receiving of gifts covered under the Code of Ethical Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy
  • Retaliation from any member of the college for bringing a concern forward
  • Discrimination or harassment, including violations of Title IX and Title VII
  • Violation of any college policy or handbook rules or regulations
As part of the Work of the College series, two Roadshow events are planned for staff, faculty, and students, to better understand third-party reporting and how this new resource fits into college processes:
Report (What, When, Whom): Anonymous Reporting, Ombuds, Official Complaints (Title IX/Title VII)
  • Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1-2 p.m., Bemis Great Hall
  • Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2-3 p.m., South Hall
Do you have questions or things you’d like to know about the platform? Email Lyrae Williams, lwilliams@coloradocollege.edu” style=”font-weight: normal;font-weight: normal;color: #7a6646;text-decoration: underline;color: #7a6646;text-decoration: underline”>lwilliams@coloradocollege.edu. All questions will be answered and will also help inform a list of FAQs on the platform.

Dissolving the Quad Innovation Alliance

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I wanted to share an update that recently, the four institutions that make up the Quad Innovation Alliance collectively made the difficult decision to dissolve the Quad effective Dec. 31, 2022.

Over the past eight years, the Quad helped make meaningful connections between the participating institutions and provided community-based problem-solving and innovation opportunities for students. In recent years, however, the pandemic disrupted activities, and institutional leadership and priorities have changed.

I want to thank the Quad staff and all who have contributed to the Quad’s development since its inception in 2014. We also appreciate the community organizations, sponsors, and collaborators who helped fuel projects and experiences for students.

Pedro de Araujo

Dean of the College

Racism Has No Place in Our Community

Dear Campus Community,

This morning we learned of an egregious act of violence against a Black veteran at the hands of a Colorado Springs Police Department officer on Oct. 9. This news, coupled with an incident of racial profiling at The Mining Exchange hotel in downtown Colorado Springs over the weekend, is in direct conflict with our antiracism committment.

Racial profiling — targeting individuals for suspicion of a crime based on their perceived race, ethnicity, religion, or national origin — is a common form of racism that often goes unchallenged. As a college committed to antiracism, we reject racism in all its forms, from subtle manifestations that target minoritized and marginalized communities to explicit acts of violence rooted in hate.

Colorado College honors this commitment by holding our community partners, including the CSPD, accountable for creating a more just world. As such, we are examining the extent of our business relationships with The Mining Exchange and its affiliates.

We encourage you to also be thoughtful and intentional about your patronage and civic engagement to collectively take a stance against racism in our community.

Please make time to learn more about racial profiling, microaggressions, and other covert racial acts and their deleterious effects:

If you have questions or concerns or would like to schedule a time to learn more about profiling, microaggression, and covert discrimination, please contact me or fill out the ADEI team consulting request form here.

In solidarity,

Ersaleen Hope

Assistant Vice President for Staff Equity and Inclusion
