Creating a More Just World: President Richardson’s Inauguration Address

Thank you for helping Colorado College celebrate the inauguration of our 14th president.

In her inaugural speech yesterday, President L. Song Richardson shared her vision that “CC is a place that’s willing to take bold action – to take courageous action – to ignite our student’s potential in order to create a more just world.”

Important: Register to Vote or Update your Voter Registration

Students,

As you settle back into your social and academic life on campus, don’t forget your broader civic role. Please take a moment to prepare to participate in democracy by registering to vote NOW!
Registering to vote is quick, easy, and ensures that you can exercise your right to vote in the next election. Students have the right to register to vote and to vote in Colorado if they meet all eligibility requirements, which are detailed below.
You can find information on how to register to vote, how to vote, and how to get involved in get-out-the-vote efforts at CC on the CCVotes section of the CCE website.
Here are some frequently asked questions:
  • How do I register to vote? Eligible voters can complete the registration process, or update their information, completely online using the last 4 digits of their Social Security Number or CO ID.
  • You can also register in person at a Voter Service and Polling Center. You must update your voter registration each time you move.
  • When do I have to register, or update my registration, to vote in the next election? You may register to vote and/or update your registration online and still receive a mailed ballot up to eight days before the election you intend to vote in. After that, you can register to vote, update your registration, and vote in person at a Voter Service Center until 7 p.m. on Election Day.
  • How will I get my ballot? Ballots are automatically mailed to all eligible, registered voters, so you can easily vote by mail or ballot drop-off box. Register or update your voter registration now to ensure you will get your ballot for the 2022 Election. Ballots will begin to be mailed on Oct. 17.
  • How do I return my ballot? Completed ballots may be mailed in or dropped off at any Voter Service Center or ballot drop box. You may also vote in person during early voting or on Election Day. You can find a Voter Service Center here.
  • Who is eligible to register to vote in Colorado? To be eligible to register to vote in Colorado, you must: be a U.S. citizen; be 16 years of age or older; and live in Colorado for at least one day.
