As we prepare to begin our 2022-23 academic year, I am pleased to introduce Ryan Simmons, our new vice president for people and workplace culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ryan brings to CC 25 years of experience in human resources, leadership development, and culture-oriented organizational development. He led Children\u2019s Hospital Colorado through several cultural transitions, where he ensured that the organization maintained its core values while adapting to new challenges. Children\u2019s Hospital Colorado has consistently been ranked as a top 10 pediatric hospital system by U.S. News and World Report.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ryan graduated cum<\/em> laude<\/em> from the University of Colorado Boulder and earned a M.Ed. in human resources development from Colorado State University Denver.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am honored to have been selected to join Colorado College,\u201d Ryan shares. \u201cI am very familiar with the uniqueness of CC, having lived and worked in Colorado Springs for a long time, and I truly believe the people of Colorado College are the reason CC is so successful in providing the finest liberal arts education in the country. The vice president for people and workplace culture is a new role that will lead Human Resources at Colorado College. We learned through the campus climate survey and other feedback that we need a workplace leader who will focus not only on the function of HR but create an environment and culture where all our faculty, staff, and students can thrive.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In his role at CC, Ryan will be a strategic partner to the leadership team. He will help build a positive work culture and position us to meet current and future needs as we fulfill the college\u2019s mission. He will champion a workplace culture that allows everyone to do their best work. He will work with the HR team to deliver an unparalleled employee experience by maintaining a diverse, inclusive, and open-minded environment where our employees are able to thrive and engage in life-long learning and development.<\/span> <\/p>\n

I am grateful to the campus community members and search teams who met with candidates for this position.<\/span><\/p>\n
