Election Day \u2013 Tuesday, Nov. 8 \u2013 is fast approaching. I urge everyone who is eligible to vote to exercise this important right and responsibility. Make your voice heard.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the late Congressman John Lewis said, the vote \u201cis the most powerful nonviolent tool we have to create a more perfect union.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

At CC we are rooted in critical thinking, courageous conversations, civil discourse, and creative and collaborative problem-solving, all in the quest to build a more just world. We prepare students to be informed, active citizens, lifelong voters, and engaged community members.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the last election, CC students stood out for their voting: According to the National Study of Learning, Voting, and Engagement, Colorado College\u2019s student voting rate increased to 84.6% in 2020, a rate for which we were awarded the Highest Voter Turnout in a 4-year institution in Colorado by the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge<\/a>. That\u2019s fantastic.<\/span> <\/p>\n
