Join the campus community to start the 2023-24 academic year at Opening Convocation 2023 in Shove Memorial Chapel Mon., Aug. 28, at 9 a.m.<\/span><\/h1>\n

Excitement is in the air as we gear up to mark the beginning of a new academic year with our annual Opening Convocation, marking<\/span> the beginning of CC\u2019s 149th academic year.<\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
In Block 1, the ceremony also serves as the First Mondays presentation. Come to welcome the Class of 2023 and prepare to be inspired as CC recognizes three alumni with honorary degrees: Jena Hausmann \u201993, Richard Koo \u201982, and EllaMaria Ray \u201985. Following Opening Convocation, students and faculty will convene for the first day of classes.<\/div>\n

Faculty who wish to march in the ceremony must register<\/a>.
