Dear CC Community,<\/p>\n<\/h1>\n
Just before midnight on Sunday, Aug. 20, Campus Safety noticed a broken window in an entry door leading into the Blanca Apartments. Colorado Springs Police were notified while Campus Safety officers responded. CC Campus Safety sent a message using Rave, the emergency notification system, issuing a lockdown as a precautionary measure to keep all students safe while Campus Safety and CSPD investigated the situation.<\/p>\n

A video review revealed a person had broken the safety window in the door, then reached inside and opened the door entering the hallway. CSPD searched and cleared the building. Campus Safety and the Residential Experience team were able to determine the person who damaged the window was a student who broke it to get into the building. The involved student was located unharmed and provided services.<\/p>\n

CC\u2019s first priority is the safety of our students. Students impacted by this incident are encouraged to seek support through the Student Health and Well Being Services.<\/p>\n
