Dear CC Community, <\/span><\/h1>\n
<\/div>\n
Today, I write to share some important news about a leadership change and reorganization of two key offices at Colorado College.<\/p>\n

Todd Woodward, Vice President of Strategic Communications and Marketing, has decided to pursue a new opportunity leading marketing and communications at Louisiana State University, which includes eight institutions and colleges educating more than 55,000 students. I am thrilled for him and wish him the best in his new role. Todd\u2019s leadership at CC has been invaluable. He helped us make significant strides in building the brand and visibility of CC and supporting strategic planning efforts for divisions across the college. He and his team also enhanced relationships and workflow with campus partners. <\/p>\n

Based on input from Project 2024 and other campus constituencies, we have been reflecting on our organizational structure and how we can align our resources and talents in a more strategic way. At the same time, the Communications and Marketing team has worked closely with the Office of Advancement to tie college priorities to funding and alumni engagement opportunities. <\/p>\n

With Todd\u2019s departure, we will build on this important collaboration by merging the Office of Communications and Marketing with the Office of Advancement. This change will enable us to share the Colorado College story more effectively with internal and external audiences, streamline our engagement efforts, and capitalize on opportunities to communicate our vision, values, and achievements to the entire CC community. It will help us fulfill our commitments to build diversity across the income spectrum, create equity across the CC experience, and ensure post-graduate success. We are also confident that combining these teams will strengthen the connections between our alumni and the college, resulting in more engagement and financial support.<\/p>\n

A reorganization like this is only possible because of the leadership, initiative, and talents of the staff within these remarkable teams. We are fortunate that these offices already share a strong and collaborative relationship.  <\/p>\n

We will soon embark on a nationwide search to identify a new Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Communications to support this integrated team. In the meantime, under the interim leadership of Stephanie Wurtz, we will continue to support the ongoing work of Advancement, Admissions, and Communications and Marketing \u2014 including our branding, visibility, fundraising, and engagement efforts, as well as the critical services the office provides to campus partners.<\/p>\n

I want to express my gratitude to Todd Woodward for his dedication and the tremendous impact he has had on CC. I also look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead in this new structure, as we plan for the college\u2019s 150th anniversary and form the building blocks of a new fundraising campaign.   <\/p>\n
