I am pleased to announce the hiring of David Jensen as CC\u2019s new Assistant Vice President for Civil Rights and Title IX Coordinator. He begins his new role this Friday, Dec. 1.<\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
With over 20 years of experience working in civil rights and Title IX, David joins our community from Salt Lake Community College, where he served as the Title IX Coordinator and EEO Director.<\/div>\n
Charged with overseeing CC’s college-wide programs, policies, and procedures, he is dedicated to ensuring that individuals are safeguarded from protected-class discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct. David will also oversee the college\u2019s compliance with federal and state discrimination and harassment laws, design and deliver instructive compliance materials and training programs, develop and monitor appropriate policies, and ensure the prompt investigation and resolution of complaints.<\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
Search Chair and Director of Accessibility Resources and ADA Coordinator Sara Rotunno said, \u201cDavid brings incredible experience and education to this position, including his talents in investigating, supervising, educating, and developing policy. During his campus interview, participants were impressed with David\u2019s focus on trauma-informed approaches, building trust with campus community members, and his strong leadership style and vision.\u201d<\/div>\n

Please join me in giving a hearty thanks to Josh Isringhausen and Barbara Wilson for covering all of the job responsibilities while the role has been vacant and extend a warm welcome to David.<\/div>\n
