Dear Campus Community,<\/h1>\n

At CC we seek to \u201cignite the passion and potential of our students, and the entire CC community, to create a world that is more equitable, humane, and just<\/em>.\u201d That vision, along with our commitment to nurture and maintain a thriving community<\/a>, led the college leadership and Project 2024<\/em> to revisit the college\u2019s philosophy on compensation. <\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
Last year<\/a>, Project 2024<\/em> identified specific areas for action from what we learned in year one<\/a>, including providing a living wage for employees. College leadership responded by establishing and implementing a living wage standard for benefits-eligible employees last July.<\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
This year, the Project 2024<\/em> Steering Committee<\/a> sought to make a living wage commitment part of CC\u2019s compensation philosophy and an action group worked to revise this philosophy for the CC community. We are pleased to announce that it has been approved and will go into effect immediately.<\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
It states that, in order to fulfill our mission to provide a high-quality liberal arts education to a talented and diverse community of students, we must attract and retain equally diverse and talented employees<\/strong>.<\/div>\n

It commits the college to seven principles, including:<\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
