Angela Y. Davis is Professor Emerita of History of Consciousness and Feminist Studies at University of California, Santa Cruz. An activist, writer, and lecturer, her work focuses on prisons, police, abolition, and the related intersections of race, gender, and class. Davis will be speaking on her recent book, Blues Legacies and Black Feminism<\/em> as well as her general scholarly and advocacy work. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to hear from a legendary figure in civil rights, abolition, and feminist theory speak. A Q&A session will follow the lecture.
